3) Angel of Harlem
4) Stand By Me

Note on the recording: This recording was obtained in a tape trade around 1994. I converted it from cassette using Goldwave and filtered it with a noise reduction filter. This is my first attempt and transferring from tape.

From Pimm: The world premier in Dublin of the ‘Rattle and Hum’ film is a big event with maximum type, media attention and audience anticipation….An estimated 5,000 gather outside the cinema to catch a glimpse of the band and react ecstatically when, shortly before the movie is due to begin, U2 appear on a ramp between the Gresham Hotel and the Savoy cinema and play When Love Comes to Town and I Still Haven’t Found, with Edge and Adam on acoustic guitars and Larry banging a tambourine. With people in the trees and on street lights, the impromptu performance becomes U2’s long-awaited Millennium show to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Dublin City. After the movie ends, U2 enter the catwalk again and play loose versions of Angel of Harlem and Stand By Me with Bono making up most of the words while the crowd act as a huge choir.
